From Ceci n'est pas un blog.  I'm quite pleased with myself, having read so many of these books!  Y'know, there's a great website of classics which you can read for free...um...if I can remember where I stuck the url...ah, here it is, Harvard Classics.

What a great list. I disagree with you about Guns, Germs, and Steel, one of my favorite books of all time! I'd like to do this, but it would be an impoverished effort! There are no Harry Bosch thrillers.

Ha! I HATED The Fountainhead too! I finished it, but I bitched about it the whole time.

Oooh, I have to do this one. This is a great list of books.

Ohhh, fun! I think I'm going to have to do this one. ;)

HIGHLY recommend Middlesex. Oryx and Crake also good.
